The UpRiver Dulcimer Group, founded in 2007, meets in Estacada, Oregon the first and third Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at The Spiral Gallery and 300 Main Residential Center (at, you guessed it - 300 Main Street!).
All members are mountain dulcimer players, but a guitar and a washtub bass round out the group for gigs in the area. Members come from Sandy, Beavercreek, Molalla, Colton, Boring, Estacada, Eagle Creek, and Milwaukie, Oregon.
New members are welcome and sought after!
Dues are $10 annually - used for copy work, signs, and some local charitable contributions.
The music we play is typically old time, folk, Celtic, or gospel. Music books are available when members join and can be purchased for a small fee.
The UpRiver Dulcimer Group has already entertained at the Vista House, Phillip Foster Historic Farm, Oregon State Fair, Clackamas County Fair, Taste of Molalla, Molalla Apple Fest, Old Time Fiddlers Jam in Estacada, the Christmas celebration at Haggen’s Store in Oregon City, the West Linn Senior Center Christmas Dinner, and various Estacada Music Crawls - performing at the Hitching Post, The Spiral Gallery, Scenes 'n Beans, and Barbara’s Flowers.
